Days with DeBois Readers and random people on the internet who might have just stumbled across the blog, it has been a while since I have posted. I am going to give a life update because it has been so long. I am going to give a super brief version.
I have been student teaching. I have been doing this every day, except for in the first week of April I was on Spring Break! Originally, I was entirely virtual with student teaching then on March 1st, I started going in person and doing hybrid. Student teaching has been going great, I am learning a lot about myself and teaching. Every day I go in and my passion for teaching grows more and more, which is really cool.
I signed a lease for the city I am moving to for grad school. That is weird. It’s like I am actually growing up and adulting. Where did the time go?
I got fully vaccinated! I got my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine in March and then my second dose on April 3rd. It feels so good to know that this pandemic could be over within the foreseeable future. I don’t know for sure though, I am not an expert.
I started working out! I started doing this for my mental health as a way to escape the world and reality. I am learning more and more every day because I am just starting out with this. I am learning about all of the different muscle groups, how different workouts affect them differently. It is so cool. I am going on long walks for cardio on the weekend, and then doing workouts in my apartment using simple equipment every day. I am watching videos on YouTube to teach me what I am doing because I am literally such a beginner. I have no knowledge in this area. It has been fun, and it has helped with my mental health in so many ways. Since I have no experience in this world, I will not be giving advice or tips on anything fitness related because I don’t want to be giving out wrong information or information that is filled with misconceptions!
On Spring Break, I got into painting and spent a full day just painting away. I went to Michaels one day, bought a ton of paint supplies. Then I just went for it, and I am really proud with how a lot of them turned out.
Outside of all of that, I have been preparing for graduation. Tying up loose ends here, giving final presentations for clubs I am in, and yeah. It feels weird to be wrapping up my time at UD, but at the time it feels right. These past 4 years have flown by, and there will be a series of blog posts dedicated to looking at my time in UD and graduation.
That’s my life update! I will probably post next weekend with something cool. Bye!
