You know who you are. I might as well just write your names in this blog post, but I won’t because I like the mystery. Nah, in all honesty there are a lot of you who this letter goes out too. I just want to say thank you.
It’s not a secret that 2019 has been the hardest year of my life so far. As I write this, I just started to know and accept who I am. Before this, I struggled with being kind to myself. I struggled with emotions that I do not understand. Everyone asks me why I am so open about this. Primarily because it’s okay to be not okay, and to take some time for yourself. I am still continuing this process to find myself. I am exploring all avenues of my life, professionally, socially, and more.
During my time in this era of my life I have some words to say to the people who have been there for me. First off, thank you. If you were there at the time when I felt that I hit rock-bottom and you stayed with me, you are a true gem of a person. I am so lucky to have you in my life. Thank you for listening to me talk endlessly even though I claim to not be a talkative person. Thank you for giving me that tough love when you know I could handle it. On the other hand, thank you for being sensitive in the moments when I could not handle that tough love. It’s hard to balance, but you guys do a great job at doing that.
Second, I am so grateful for you guys. This Thanksgiving all of my gratitude goes to the people who have been and stayed there for me. It’s not easy and I feel like I am the luckiest person on the planet with you guys by my side. Whether you’ve made me a Cheesecake (I LOVE CHEESECAKE), have helped me in class, have picked up the phone when I called you in moments of need, or have provided me laughter on my bad days. You have made an impact on my life and I am grateful for you.
This world can be filled with awful people. I feel like I’ve met a lot of them, but you guys are prime examples of great people on this earth. All of you give me hope for this rather cruel world. Thank you.
No words could truly show my appreciation and gratitude for you guys. Just know that this Thanksgiving and every day, I am grateful for you guys. Thank you.
